Air Force 1 ’07

The Nike Air Force 1 is one of those shoes that you can easily call timeless. There are not many sneakers that can reach this amount of agreement around the sneaker community. The first basketball shoe to house Nike Air came as a high and low model, using mesh and leather materials, which was inspired by the Cathedral of Notre Dame (high) and the American presidential airplane “Air Force One” (low). The shoe was designed by Bruce Kilgore, who stated that he also got inspired by the Nike Approach hiking boot. It further brought another man into the picture, Tinker Hatfield who used to be an architect for Nike became a footwear tester for the Air Force 1, the rest is Nike history.
